Can Grow
I am grateful you are considering counseling and have taken the first step of visiting my website. I look forward to getting to know you.

In the meantime, I would like to share a little about my journey. I am a former educator as well as school administrator and have taught students with learning differences in both public and private educational settings. I hold a Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia, a Master's degree in Education, with a specialization in learning differences, from Valdosta State University as well as a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling from Thomas University. I also hold a post-master's in school psychometry from The University of Alabama.

My hope is to help adolescents, teens and adults by providing a nurturing environment and therapeutic partnership to grow.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist in Georgia, a member of the Georgia Association of Counselors, the Georgia Association for Play Therapy and the National Association for Play Therapy. In my free time I enjoy playing golf, reading, attending Georgia football games, and spending time with family.

Young adults are transitioning from the security and structure of "home"and are now faced with trying to navigate their next steps in life, whether it be college, military, or full-time employment. This can be a trying time for many young adults and talking with someone who can provide a safe place to express their concerns can help ease the stress related to the transition.

As women, we have so many responsibilities that can often seem insurmountable. We struggle with the balance of taking care of others and practicing self-care for ourselves. We are faced with many challenges and sometimes find it difficult to confide openly and honestly in those who care about us. Understanding how thoughts influence our feelings and behaviors contributes to the self-awareness required to cope with life's many obstacles.
